Yes, indeed I have. About half of it is pretty good road; the other half is rough to very rough. I saw some outfitter horse trailers, but I wouldn't recommend the route to recreational trailer folks at all. There are places where backing up is simply impossible with a trailer. But it's dang worth it. Lots of burned over land along the route now, owing to the wilderness fire policy.
