Well this week I had a colonoscopy.. Not bad. It's been three years since I had the last one..

Firstly the preparation differs by Doctors.. On this one I assumed that I would not get sick from the phospho soda that I had to drink. Even though the Dr. had issued a stomach pacifier.. I knew better. Well I got sick.. AND it came on so fast that I could not reach a receptacle to let it out. Bad experience.

Then I want to mention that directions on bottles and instructions are getting smaller and smaller on everything . I now have to use a magnifying glass to see the directions on almost everything. This fact led to some trouble later in this story.

I am allergic to propraphyl a medication for sedation. I let the anesthesiologist talk me into using it..So I got an allergy attack which necessitated my taking 9 Benadryl to get under control. I exhausted the number of these that I could take so called the Dr. and they gave me a prescription for
prednisone which I am currently on. It is helping but I still have an allergy. The reason I gave in on it's use.. They did not have a substitute that would really put me out. The alternative was to be aware of the procedure which I did not want to do.

I mistakenly took all seven of the prednisone pills at one time because I did not read the instructions which would have required a magnifying glass and I did not have the patience.

I was really hyper yesterday and the market did not help.

.. My eyes are still swollen and I have a Kleenex by my side to blow my running nose.. some of the residual symptoms..

Lessons learned. Read directions on medication. Do as instructed and don't trust that an allegy has disappeared because the few passage of years. TRUST ONESELF.
