Don't know. Good questions. My guess is that they either 1)put up cash from the balance sheet or 2)bought an insurance policy insuring them against the loss (heard that it is done quite often in corporate settings and it keeps companies from tying up cash). I'll try to call AVNT and see if anyone knows. Maybe I'll get lucking and I can talk to Mr. Hsu directly.
