re: As far a solar incentives, New York State apparently has them so high that it almost pays for the panels. You still have to pay for the rest of the electrical components, but it is a very significant subsidy. How many people take advantage; seems like a no-brainer. A lot of states have better incentives than Florida. Which doesn't make sense. We sure have an abundance of the "fuel". And our peak demand is consistent with peak sunlight supply.
