but max if it 'tanks' say against the loonie... do our prices rise in Canada ? If the US is not the epicentre of the universe... do folks with higher relative valued currencies really care ? Now as a reserve currency we are buying USD to purchase commodities.. (currencies themselves are commodities in a sense) so... hmmm Now I tend to think the commodity prices are going up because folks, hundreds of millions of previously 'stuffless' folks.. want stuff, just like our 'stuff'... Why was 'stuff' so cheap in the US before ? The USD was worth more.

It reminds me of plotting gold against the loonie along with the demise of the USD... our gold stocks go up because Americans want them and they outnumber us 10:1... if they didn't would gold stocks really go up ?
