He'll have lots of critters! As everything floods, they'll be forced onto his island.

When I lived on Lake Travis, near Austin, their was an island on it called "Rattlesnake Island". Old timers told me that when the dam was built and they filled the lake, all the local rattlesnakes were forced up onto the island. Then, they had a big rattlesnake apocalypse when the local rednecks decided to kill them all. No rattlesnakes on it today.
