Maybe we get the best of both worlds. From the latest summary below, a Cat 5 south of Cuba at 6:00 AM Monday (much less into Tuesday AM) will have all the requisite attributes to cause a panic and spike on Wall Street. No short will fail to cover by 10:00 AM Monday - because as you suggest - it might just hook north - if it hadn't done so already. If if fizzles after that as indicated, then the human loss will be minimized. You have to feel for Jamaica - certain Cat 5 visit on Sunday.
