Neither did Krugman. At least he had the grace to admit it. In addition to this blog comment, I am getting NYT columns from a blog source that prints them all. And in a few weeks they will all be open again.

The interesting thing about reading Krugman is that he has an achievement record as an Economist, before he started his column, that could warrent a Nobel. [Yes, I know it's really not.]

So he has to really contort himself when he writes a lot of his "hack" columns. He has been predicting economic disaster because of Bush for seven years. And been wrong all the way though.
