koan if you are making bets on NG you would do well to inform yourself over here Subject 50987.

Coal bed methane requires tons and tons of wells because the pressure and hence flow are very low compared to conventional well. OTOH the depletion curve is usually more gradual. The number of wells here is apples to oranges for conventional NG wells.

Also there is LNG from off continent depressing continental NG prices. So NG is going global also. You also need to watch the global NG usage situation ie Europe for example which greatly effects this marginal supply. Marginal but having a huge effect presently.

I guess it depends upon how long a time horizon you have and of course this could all change tomorrow. Maybe China will mandate all taxis / busses to be NG powered.. :o) They have few cities where this is the case.. Or possibly trade it as Red says. I'm out of asll my NG presently.. Sold my CNE.UN a ways back... thankfully.
