According to Worldwatch, in 2000 global consumer spending were:

USA 31.5%
Western Europe 28.7%
East Asia and Pacific 21.4%

7 years later, I doubt very much that China & India are only 16% of USA which would mean they are possibly only 5% of global. Make no sense after all these years of 10% growth.
