I'm not sure that "decent coffee" and "Starbucks" should be used as synonyms.

Starbucks is OK. At home I use Starbucks french roast beans in a Bodum french press coffee carafe.

Having never had coffee in New Zealand, I have no idea whether the stuff you get from the regular coffee machines in New Zealand is any good.

There is a funny show on US telly, "The Flight of the Conchords" about two Kiwi brothers who migrated to the US and play music.

Hard to explain the plot but they do break into song at odd moments in order to comment on whatever's happening.

What I notice most are the accents. The vowels are even more clipped than South African vowels.

American accents must be the broadest. Maybe something to do with the first British immigrants, who came from East Anglia (to Massachusetts), South England (to Virginia), North Midlands (to Delaware), and Borderlands (to US back country), but having never been to England, I couldn't say for sure.

Also, Kiwis seem much more laid back than Australians or South Africans or Americans. At least these two blokes do.
