If Compaq is going to be getting the K6 for ~$80 a chip, IBM is getting them for less (larger order).. and given the yeild problems at AMD that must have driven the costs per chip (haven't worked this back yet) to at least the mid $60's if not higher, that doesn't leave much room for margin..
