Terrance,

I had a major problem today while running WSX, IE 3.02 , Mail, Notepad, and WOW. I tried to exit mail and got a message that all the deleted files could not be deleted. W95 then returned me to the desktop. At this point I could not maximize WSX. It was still retrieving data based on the modem lights.

Cold reboot did not help. As soon as the password entry was completed it minimized and could not be maximized. I reinstalled then deleted all files, unzipped original download and reinstalled but neither worked.

Next I ran regsvr32 and deleted the registry entry. Reinstallation from the .zip worked.

I don't think this is a WSX problem, rather a W95 problem where the registry got corrupted somehow. If this happens to someone else the above info may help them.

Second subject. Have you worked on the Datek messages interfering with the quotes ? If they can not be stripped out could you at least check all incomming quotes for a message, supress updates until we manually clear them at the Datek message site and pop up an error window advising that this needs to be done. I know this is a crude solution but anything is better than having major errors in the data screen. It also prevents the alerts from functioning. I have had days where the errors never cleared out on a few stocks unless I close WSX and reload.

Thanks for your hard work. WSX is a GREAT program.

Bob
