Kim, I was being facetious when I mentioned suicidal tendencies. Even though the plummeting market scared the hell out of a lot of investors, I have been through it before and I did what I have done in previous downturns. When the bonds get hammered they overreact and create bargains that are hard to ignore. My favorite bond is a closed end fund DDF.
In the last financial bloodbath I was able to buy some at 9.75 a share. It is normally somewhere in between 12 - 14 dollars. NAV Friday was aprox $12.90 so 10 to 11 dollars a share was a steal. It trades just like a stock and pays a $.08 a share monthly div except at year end when profits are paid. Last year profits were an additional $.24 a share. One year the annual profit worked out to about $.75 a share. This time I was able to buy DDF at $10.10 a share and $10.40 which will give me a yield close to 10%. Shortly after I bought, DDF went up a Buck so I made out like a bandit. When DDF goes under $12.00, DDF is also in the market buying their own shares. Even though the market may show the asked at $10.40, the stock is hard to come by.

As far as Ramtron, it is without a doubt being accumulated. That is why the stock does not move up except when the MM's what to shake out some shares. Will it be good for the shareholders? That remains to be seen. It will be good for those that bought under $3.00. I think those that are averaged in over $20.00 they will be burned. Then the class action lawyers will come to the fore. I will guarantee you that it will be good for management. They do'nt have 11 million shares ratholed for options for management for nothing. As usual JMHO.
