Look back to 1999 and the deal with ERICY. Infrastructure was sold to ERICY and Q solved a difficult problem. This caused a lot of heartache among the infrastructure employees. ERICY was hated. The pain this sale caused troubled IJ. Sulpizio made it happen.

Would the current Q management now sacrifice QCT to NOK to solve this problem?

I agree, but what if the highest bidder was Broadcom . . . or Nokia? Would any of those skilled engineers now at QCOM even want to work for such a master?
