(Photos: Courtesy of Fox News Sunday, Meet the Press, Face the Nation)Karl Rove undertook a three-stop farewell tour of the talk shows on Sunday – not his own decision, he said he was just doing “what I was instructed to do.” It was unclear who was doing the instructing but apparently they included repeating recent harsh assessments of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. “She enters the primary season with the highest negatives of any front-runner since the history of polling began,” Mr. Rove said today. He has said he expects her to win the Democratic nomination but is optimistic that a Republican would beat her – though he wouldn’t be drawn into saying, as David Gregory suggested on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” that there “might be a desire by the Republican Party for her to be the nominee.” Mr. Rove’s comment: “It’s going to be what it’s going to be.”
