According to Dow Jones News AMD is expected to announce that it will ship 250,000 of its K6 chips to compaq. According to an analyst the chips will be used in sub-$1,000 PCs. 233Mhz in 1Q98 and 266Mhz in 2Q98. The bad news is that he expects AMD to recieve $80 and $90 per chip.>>
