I think it was a combination. FDX started the day down over $3. It was still down mid-afternoon but was steadily climbing all day and ended with a gain. I think the initial decline was short-selling which was then followed by bargain hunters and new longs. This probably started some short covering. This will be an interesting corporate combination.
