Right, Lewes(very historic); Rehobeth(more upscale than most beach towns); after Dewey Beach there's a preserved national beach; then Bethany, Ocean City, Chincoteague(another preserved national park with a beach & wild ponies-no development, other than an aquarium at the entrance to the park)...then the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel to Norfolk, VA. Quite a ride across miles of that enormous bay, passing oil tankers and naval ships along the way. Then into the tunnel and out into heavier traffic in the city of Norfolk.
Anyone familiar with the coastline south of Wilmington, NC? We must explore that area one of these days.
