Waiting time for services in Canada is sometimes a nuisance but not as big a problem as perceived in the U.S. In the article I previously referenced

hc-sc.gc.ca

the median wait time for specialist visits and non-emergency surgery is listed as 4.3 weeks. There is really no wait time for emergency surgeries.

Measured health outcomes do not indicate that there is any disadvantage in the Canadian system as compared to the U.S. system.

..having to wait in line even for people who have the means to pay

It is illegal in Canada to pay for any medically necessary treatment.

I am not saying our system can't or shouldn't be improved. However it isn't the nightmare that is some ideologues in the U.S. would suggest.
