Amunition for the Bears

From Stockcharts. com's Market Summary Carpet, I noticed the 3 Bullish Percentage figures that had the biggest % change on Aug. 20 : $BPINDY (+42%), $BPINDU (+6.66%) and $BPOEX (+4.5%). Then I asked how these 3 BPs behaved during previous market bottoms.







Note how in previous market bottoms, especially in '98 and '02 the BP of these three groups, tended to have a sharp break just prior to or right at the market bottom.
