Arthritis--The url for the Washington Post article about the fungal infection and such is here washingtonpost.com In healthy people, the immune system walls off the fungal cells in structures called granulomas, whose integrity is maintained by TNF-alpha. When TNF-alpha is suppressed, the granulomas can dissolve and release the still-living fungi. HIV--The most recent TGEN PR for interim data this week from a Phase II trial of tgAAC09 ir.targen.com Immunogenic data indicate modest, dose dependent immunogenicity, with responses being directed mostly to gag. Presence of neutralizing titers to AAV2 at baseline does not appear to impact response to vaccination.
