Management has to do something, at least stock buy back. The silence is deafening. We know now that Paul Jacob is not ready (if ever) for prime time.


Even the smartest people will have problems predicting which way a trial outcome will go. However there was an enormous amount of risk in the brcm cases. Only a dimwit would not recognize the real risks.

Your statement about silence is dead on. There is a breach in the dike and no one standing up recognize that breach and say we are doing a, b, c, anticipate d, e, f.

No shareholder needs some lost boy CEO saying to the media:

oh me, oh my, I'd don't like dealing with legal problems.
gee, this stuff with Nokia could go on for years.
we may have to reorganize, things are up in the air, but we're not saying what we'll do, if anything.
