I don't have cats because I provide a back yard water feature for all of the birds that come in to feed next door. I get the most unusual birds............the kind I don't think I'd get if it weren't for those feeders. The water feature really has been a life saver for the birds during the summer when we have long spells of heat. We haven't had that problem this yr, but I just want to stay away from the cat thing. Don't get me wrong...........I like cats.....but I love seeing all of the different variety of birds in the yard, and they don't mix well with cats.

I'm growing pumpkin, crookneck squash, butternut, acorn, potatoes, dill, scallions, lettuce, peppers and tomatoes. You can't see the other part of my veggie garden in the shot I posted.
