Bernanke's 16 Gun Salute globaleconomicanalysis.blogspot.com All this jawboning by Bernanke and Dodd is meaningless. Willingness to spend and willingness to lend is at the heart of the problem. Once banks finally understand the risks, willingness to lend will halt. That is the process that is underway right now and all this jawboning will not change a thing.
