Happened to me last year.

thoughts;

make sure cell phone is on same service so no long distance or time charges.

revel in all her new successes

commiserate in all the disappointments

It will be a source of pride everytime she makes a move toward her own independence and place in life.

(Im hopping) that when she graduates (and gets a job) that I graduate as a parent as well.
