It depends on the rate of return. It is difficult to shift investment out of the status quo, despite the potential rate of return because people tend to be conservative. We have an enormous investment in the status quo, like the Iraq war. At best, the rate of return is going to be zero or slightly negative. And that just counts direct costs. Just about any investment is going to yield higher than that.

But, I understand. You have already decided it is going to cost an enormous amount and have a negative yield. No amount of information is going to change that, apparently.
