To be fair to Geoff and Nadine, they were talking about the part of sharia law dealing with forced conversions. Forced conversions by definition involve people with other beliefs. I would answer the general question by saying that every religion has wrongheaded things in their holy books and in this case forced conversion would be an example of that. There are extremists in every faith that turn these things into movements. The concentration on muslims today comes from the terrorism used to achieve some of them. Yes there are jewish settlers who have done bad things saying the bible made em do it but its a matter of scale and peril for the world that gives good muslims everywhere increased scrutiny. I think you can agree with this if we leave israel and palestine out of the debate for the moment.
