Something very strange happened after we talked about hummingbirds yesterday. A very little hummer showed up at my feeder (I keep one out and refreshed for stragglers) and stayed around all day yesterday. I haven't seen him this morning, but I thought that was kind of ironic.

I wish we had cardinals around here. They are such pretty birds. The first time I saw one............Hawaii...........I was really surprised that they were so small.

And the first time I saw a mountain blue bird I was amazed at how bright they were.

We have Blue Jays, really Steller's Jays, around here when the Robin eggs are laid. They can be seen robbing nests and flying off with babies in their beaks.

Them and crows.
