I worry that Lindy may grow tired of the religion and school thing- if you want to continue it here would be a good place.

I've had some interesting religions in my classroom. In 2001 in a second grade class (the same one with the Buddhist and the little evangelical girl) I had 2 Jehova's Witnesses. I actually had to have a meeting with the parents- since they wanted to me to a lot of special planning for their boys.

I have had to do some extra work for Mormons at the high school level. Many of them are only allowed to watch G movies, which means they cannot see any of the movies we show that go with the books, and the plays- and as I am sure you know, you just HAVE to see Shakespeare performed, to read it is (imo) to kill it. The beauty is in the staging and acting. The words are beautiful, but not in the mouths of untutored high school students. Anyway, I have to make up extra work for the Mormon students and send them to the library. I try to make the assignments fun, so they don't feel punished, but not so fun the rest of the class gets pissed off at them for skating out on the movie work.

Have had to make accommodations for Muslim and Hindu girls- and make sure they are not put in groups with boys. Some more conservative parents don't approve of mixed work groups. That's fine with me. If anyone, of any religion, asks me to help them I will if I can. And so far I've never encountered a situation where I couldn't keep everyone happy.
