You guys were discussing what a straw man is, the above is a good example.

bin Laden was behind 9/11 (and 80%+ of terrorists attacks leading up to 9/11). He heads the organization that did it; he funded it. bin Laden DID 9/11; it couldn't have been done without him. The second best act of a "war on terror" would have been swift retribution against the perpetrator, at whatever cost. THAT would have sent a message. It would still send a much weaker message.

Then we went to Iraq, where there were less "terrorists" than any other nation in the Middle East.
