re: 1 - Its a bit dubious to say we didn't avenge 9/11. If I planed and paid for the killing of a relative of yours and you got the guy that pulled the trigger but not me, would you feel avenged? If you ask 100 Americans "who did 9/11?" almost all (a few will say Bush or Cheney) will say bin Laden. It's not avenged. re: 2 - To this day its uncertain if we ever really had a decent chance at getting bin Laden. We should have done everything we could at Bora Bora and after to get him. We didn't.
