Religious Jews don't consider it a commandment binding on non-Jews. I believe this to be the same with Muslims, though I'm not as sure.

Jews did not chose to be Jews - they were chosen. Chosen by God. They do not proselytize for the most part, since it is God's "job" to chose who will be a Jew, not theirs.

Muslims, otoh, are under a direct command from God to have everyone eventually submit to their religion. Big difference.
