generally i'm a vejan for health reasons, not moral. but vegetarianism is something of a luxury for Americans like me. such a vast choice of foods. it gets like: chickens are ugly, salmon are attractive. etc. as in the stock market's anonymity, the killing in our pretti-pak food is hidden; we never hear the squeal in our meal (sorry)
hemp provides clothes, oil and protein (and marijuana and hash-hish, perhaps unfortunately). as a weed, its nickmane, it is resistant to bugs and other predators/parasites. per acre, provides more calories than soybeans. if you were forced to only have one source of fat in your diet, which didn't at all clog your arteries, besides salmon and other fish oil--which you'd have to eat raw to benefit from--it should be hemp oil--the only oil which contains two essential fatty acids, omega 6 & 3, in the exact proportion humans need them, whose regular consumption is, as the chemicals are named, essential for life. |
