You have sort of predetermined this is an issue that is religious or moral, perse, because it is for you, or because it is for "most" people as you define them, even though there are plenty of good arguments that it is not that for everyone.

Religions determine what are religious or moral issues for them. They don't have to justify it to you any state or school officials. And most religions do consider homosexuality a moral issue. The fact that some don't doesn't change the fact that most do. As I said before, this is just a statement of fact and shouldn't be controversial. People may wish it wasn't this way but that doesn't change the fact.

And btw it isn't "my" predetermination of anything involved here. I don't get to decide what the Bible says. If I had been consulted, I would have left that part out or watered it down considerably. But its not my choice to decide.

But I don't agree that the curriculum needs to be changed for everyone, or that certain books need to be banned. Are you thinking it does need to be changed for everyone?

I don't think schools s/b reading King and King or the many other similarly themed "kids" books to 6 year olds - any 6 year olds. If Rosie O'Donnell wants to read them to her little girl at home, fine - its her right as a parent. So yes, I don't think this s/b in the curriculum for elementary kids.

In the event some school officials with an active agenda, as in Lexington MA, decide they should brainwash 6 year olds into holding the PC opinion about gay marriage, parents at least ought to be able to opt out of it.
