That religions may determine that is fine- we're not disagreeing over that. Did you think we were? I'm merely suggesting that what religions variously determine is not, and should not be, part of the secular world of the schools. That's all- nothing more. "I don't think schools s/b reading King and King" It's not a book I would read to 6 year olds. I probably wouldn't want a blanket prohibition of it, though. And we already agree that parents should opt out. I'm just not sure we disagree that much.
