Any soldier there from the start would laugh in your face if you were to suggest they were not indoctrinated with the idea of Saddam's threat to America being imminent.

Nonsense.

Some would feel they where indoctrinated, but I imagine even those wouldn't be likely to "laugh in my face" about it. And many would see no such indoctrination.

In any case the issue isn't what they perceive, but what the reality is. The president didn't just avoid using "imminent", he specifically said the threat wasn't imminent, but that we shouldn't wait until it is.
