That said, my point was that just because something is your personal property does not mean you can do whatever you want with it without restriction. and i agree with that... we've had 'cruelty to animals' laws on the books in every state for years..... my question was, when was the last time you saw someone go to federal prison for this crime? oral pointed out that it was the illegal GAMBLING and interstate commerce wrt such that made this a federal case but that HAS NOT been the media focus, the media focus has been all about his cruelty to the animal... you don't see this kind of brouhaha and public clamor over interstate gambling when it comes to other "sports" vick is being railroaded, no question about it
