mish, my charts suggest that while Gold and Silver could move up to test or slightly exceed their 2006 highs, it is somewhat doubtful that they will do so. Furthermore, the monthly and quarterly charts suggest both those commodities should be weak into the end of 2009, likely re-tracing 1/2 of the gains from the lows earlier this decade.

This is not a profound expectation. Dr. Marc Faber also expects Gold and Silver to drop in price with the anticipated global asset sell-off. My expectation is the price of Gold and Silver may not exceed the highs until 7-years from now.

I think this is close to the absolute worst time to own metals of any kind. It's not me, it's the charts saying so.
