That doesn't mean they will always think it was a good deal. The free market is a great system but participants in it don't have crystal balls to see the future. My 99.9+% point concerns the time the deal was made, not how future changes or new information might cause someone to later change their mind.

Then your POV is ridiculous. It doesn't account for snake oil salesmen, con artists, pigeon drops, lying CEOs......all of which are active elements in a capitalistic society.
