I sure hope the township had some statutes and laws to back up their argument.

The effort to stop LA builders from coming into a 1 house per acre neighborhood and build 3 story houses with 5' setbacks flew right in the face of our City codes. (I could share if you like?)

Over 120 citizens formally addressed the city council, and most of them were experts in one field or another. There were steep slopes and sight distance and non standard road widths issues too, but it was the people collectively joining together that really forced the City council to take an in depth look. Heck......we even had a one yr moratorium on building through this process.

A few City laws helped too, but laws were meant to be changed.
