Iraq is probably in less danger from a conventional invasion (well Iran could try, but I don't think they will, or that we would stand by and let it happen), which is just one way the situations are different, but they may be the same in that we mind wind up leaving and thus losing in a strategic sense, without ever being defeated. In what "strategic sense" do we lose?
