There are people saying Aaron Rodgers should start but I'm not in that camp. Watch Favre and tell me he doesn't still have superior skills than 90% of the QB's in the NFL. He still has it. What he doesn't have (and hasn't for many years) is two quality WR's, a solid TE and a RB that doesn't puke up the ball. Green was great but his fumbles were bad. Franks has not been a reliable receiver and Driver is the only guy that runs clean routes. We have no REAL qualified, experienced 2nd WR which is why I was pissed we didn't go after Moss. This DT we drafted (Harrell) looks good but I think I would have traded down and selected Greg Olsen at TE. In a couple years I may look foolish for wanting Olsen over Harrell but right now I think we needed to give Favre some weapons. Montana had all the toys as did Marino, Elway, Manning and many others. Favre has consistently done more with less than any other QB I've ever seen. Does he force balls? Sure. When you're down by 20 points and you don't have a reliable big play crew you have to take risks that otherwise wouldn't be taken. Favre needs weapons! We have Driver and thats it. Other than him (and he may be hurt) we have Franks, a Rookie RB (Jackson) Greg Jennings and a rookie WR Jim Jones. Now these guys may be great in a couple years but that isn't the compliment of guys you surround a 17 year vet QB qho still has the skills to take you where you want to go. We may have a potential championship defense but out offense is young, green and unproven. Favre deserved better
