Tim,

I agree. It keeps Intel on top, but at what cost
or how much longer can it keep this up without affecting
the bottom line? Could the 6 months windows shrink further to
a point, that all the R&D money used will not be justified?

I think Intel's technology lead used to be 1-2 years now
it seems like 6 months tops.

Cyrix and AMD's ASP has to be lower than Intel to gain market
shares. Intel has to lower their price to stay competitive.
Intel also have to run faster to the next processor. This
is a price war in the making.
