After all, isn't Vietnam today an emerging economic power that is cultivating friendly ties with the U.S.? Yep, and as the article alludes to, it could have been there 20 years sooner if we would have stuck by South Vietnam like we stuck by South Korea. Korea was still a mucky little poor dirthole with a dictatorship 30 years ago, too.
