Guys, cheer up! Trading is nothing more than a
game for fun. Actually lots of people knew the
rumor. However, I didn't know the details.
I discussed several possibilities with my broker.
Finally, we reached a conclusion "buy on the rumor,
sell on the news". We unloaded 1/2 position @18
on 9/29. Then another 1/2 @17 3/4 next day because
the company said earning would be out. I posted
the rumor here, and hoped some one would reckon
the potential move. Anyway, the reaction of the first
hour after the news was pretty predictable. However,
we are astonished by the quick return move. For any
long-term buy-and-hold investors, they still have lots
of paper profit during the past two weeks.

For the future of SMSC, I don't know anything. This may
go up to 20, 30, or go back to 10? At least Accton got
a decent deal for 42 millions.
