I see it as the same thing as those around day labor camps. I don't buy the "can't compete" argument.

Microsoft wants workers at a lower cost, same as a contractor building a house, or a farmer wants his crops in.

I don't see a difference between granting a work visa for a lower paid microsoft employee or a lower paid peach picker.

I'm not for protectionism, if microsoft wants cheaper labor, they can open a plant in their home country and take the same risks as other companies have with overseas operations.

We can plow under the microsoft campus and grow more apples.
