"...if we get a few more weeks of calm like this week..." My guess is, don't count on it. There are too many problems yet unresolved. Just my guess, even though I am long the market in general and wish it was not so. The only hedge I have is physical gold and some foreign stocks that may avoid the banking problems. I actually hope I am wrong. I just got a call from a friend today who said he can no longer sustain the monthly losses in his realestate investments, and will be selling at least 4 properties, including a great Chicago condo overlooking Soldier field and the museum district. If he is selling, I did wonder if we were maybe near the bottom, but rather think we are not. Sober
