T.R., I am new here also. If the truth be known, and I'm sure it will soon anyway, I am a hopeless humor junkie, and what I noticed through the best of the best days with the Lord is that many of those who loved Him the most were also the ones who made us laugh the most. Remember this: Brother Wurmbrand when he was in the gulages (sp)for so many years noticed what other Christians had under the same circumstances: when they noticed that any of the starving, beaten brethren stop being able to laugh, that it was a sign they were probably ready to begin the dying process. I remember that that was something he spoke about, those who stopped smiling, and how worried everybody became. It was a signal that person's soul had given up completely.
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine. Sometimes we are just plain funny. Period. It's o.k... Where I find danger is using humor when holiness is in process, and that is where God is leading us. Do you know what I mean with that? Anyway, I cannot be separated from my sense of humor because the shell left could not stand up, I'm sure. |
