The bonus becomes the business. Once the persons involved get hooked on bonus, they do business to generate bonuses. If you look to the construction, you will notice that form a business perspective it doesn’t make much sense. But look at it under the bonuses perspective and everything falls into place. Oh, they engaged on that project or in that deal because they want more bonuses.

Perhaps the stock options of the tech bubble can be explained under the same perspective. People start engaging not because they want to develop some new thing. It was always about cash in on the tide and get out rich.
Of course I like money and have nothing against it. But at the end of the day something must be left done by the investment of that money. But if in the end the sole reason was to concoct a wayo and leave bag holders behind is not good: Because it won’t last long.

I think this sub-prime crisis is the unfolding of some shady businesses done to cash in and run.
